Dear colleagues

As AITSL Board Chair I would like to formally welcome you to the Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) Network. This Network is the first of its kind in Australia, bringing together nationally certified teachers from across the country. As a nationally certified Highly Accomplished or Lead teacher, you are by definition an expert practitioner making a significant difference to the lives of your students and colleagues.

There are now over 350 certified HALTs in Australia, of which 250 have joined this Network, and the numbers continue to grow. We have come together as a Network twice, at the HALT Summit in 2016 and 2017, and I have appreciated the opportunity to work together to identify Network actions that enable certified HALTs as leaders and champions for quality teaching and learning. AITSL is committed to supporting the Network as a way to promote teaching quality and expertise to improve student achievement and progress across Australia.

If you have not already, please take a moment now to join the Network, and I look forward to working with you and other certified HALTs as a part of this Network.

Sincerely
